Pagan Centered Podcast™

I would like to know why the "faces" of our community like Llewellyn Worldwide and our MANY magazine publishers are not more Eco-friendly.

I have been using Llewellyn's Witches' Datebook for several years and find it a bit off-putting. They do not use recycled materials, nor do the publishers of our periodicals.

As a diverse pagan community, one of our basic grounds of agreement is the worship/protection on Mother Earth... I find it odd that none of our publishers or authors are at the forefront in the current green revolution. To me, we should be leading the way in this effort--but yet, when you research it, we seem to be bringing up the rear.

Where are all of our eco-conscious pagans? I know many individuals who are, but when you look at our supposed "leaders" or figure heads (if they can be called that) we as a group seem to be eco-ignorant.

I forget which magazine just honored Leading Pagans... in which I discovered your podcast, but does anyone else find it odd that there was not an Eco or Green category? I find it hard to believe that out there, amongst the myriad pagans, there is not one who is spear heading a religious Eco/Green movement. Where are our warriors and guardians of Gaia?

We espouse a closer walk with the Natural... but you would never guess it if you were an outsider looking in. If pagans ever needed common ground in which to find agreement and cause, I think we may be missing the boat on this unifying and more often than not, missed topic of eco responsibility and/or stewardship. This should be something that our Judeo-Xtian-Islamic neighbors should think of first when they think of Pagans... not their usual "devil-worshipping", "child sacrificing", voodoo practicing-New Age flakes.

Am I alone?

discuss what makes a good community ritual - the good and bad. Are you presenting a community for celebration, to create or bring the community together? or is it to give yourself a pat on the back? Community means expect families, children, elderly and those with mobility issues - was this considered during the planning?

American Legion trying to force everyone into Christian Prayer

School says no

VFW, in support of American Legion, withdraw $30k of scholarships that would be rewarded to the kids since they wont be participating in Christian prayer.

First very public exposure of AL and VFW as Christian-only organizations as speculated by Charles Arnold of Pagan Veterans of the USA (no known website).
